goINVADE.com was a local lifestyle publication for the rebellious and optimistic. It created compelling content that emulated the tone of the contemporary South: authentic, intriguing and inspirational. Content production ended on August 26, 2015. Originally developed by Justin Shiels, he created the branding, website and numerous products for the brand. At it’s height the publication had 10,000 subscribers across networks and helped to influence the local creative culture of New Orleans and beyond.
The logo design was inspired by tribal patterns and includes a serif typeface modified to add a hand drawn effect.
The website design was an integral part of the business and focused on clearly outlining the content in a simple, readable format that was appealing to viewers.
In addition to the daily website, INVADE produced a quarterly magazine that told the stories of local changemakers. Each issue was beautifully printed and included bold photography and typography to connect with the target audience.
Additional web graphics were used across platforms to tell the visual story of the brand.
